My diploma was issued by the Royal Yachting Academy (RYA), for boats up to 200 tons. Every year I sail over 5000 nautical miles, as a sailing instructor, in races or as a skipper on chartered sailboats. I have sailed at all levels in most Mediterranean countries and in the UK. In 2002, I crossed the Atlantic Ocean as a participant in the famous ARC race, aboard Aegeas, one of my oldest boats, a Sun Fizz 40. The starting point of this race is in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and ends after about 3000 miles in Santa Lucia, an island in the Lesser Antilles archipelago, on the open shores of Venezuela.
