Discover northern Norway on a 7-day Arctic expedition. The route starts from marina Tromsø Eidkjosen and winds along steep fjords and isolated islands, through narrow passages and deep waters. The sailing takes place in conditions typical of northern latitudes, with shifting winds, strong currents and rapidly changing weather. Each day presents a real challenge of manoeuvring and planning, perfect for those who want to test their sailing and seamanship skills in an authentic environment.
You'll sail among steep cliffs and sheltered bays, adapting to the real conditions of the Nordic fjords. Monitoring winds, currents and correct route choices are part of the daily routine, offering an intense and realistic experience that combines adventure with technical sailing.

Capetan eXplore is an expedition for those who are already familiar with sailing and want to discover an area totally different from the classic holiday destinations. A unique sailing experience, educational and as relaxing as your sailing skills allow.
A NON-TOURIST EXPEDITION
You'll be part of a flotilla of sailing enthusiasts exploring the fjords and remote islands of northern Norway. Each anchorage offers tranquillity and wild scenery, perfect for recharging your batteries between intense segments of daily sailing.

The deep waters of the Nordic fjords invite you on a journey with a difference!
During this period, the almost continuous light (Midnight Sun) and cool temperatures create ideal sailing conditions, but the fjords can bring unpredictable winds and currents. You'll feel the boat in constant motion and manage anchorages that demand attention and experience.
Sailing here means quick adaptation, precise decisions and a good understanding of the conditions - it's not a classic tourist route, but the rewards are worth it: spectacular fjords, clear waters, remote islands and, with luck, encounters with seals or northern birds, plus that authentic feeling of Arctic adventure.
The Nordic fjords can be challenging, but also incredibly exciting for those prepared to explore them in the endless Arctic summer light.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS ROUTE?
- Moderate to strong winds, 10-20 kn, ideal for sailing
- Sailing between fjords and isolated islands in currents and waves of 0.5-1.5 metres frequently
- Almost 24 hours of daylight, perfect for many nautical miles and safe anchorages
- Varied Arctic wildlife: seals, northern birds and, with luck, whales
- Authentic Nordic cuisine: fresh fish, seafood, local cheeses and traditional dishes
- Clear, cold waters (around 8-12°C), perfect for the Arctic sailing experience
- Spectacular landscapes: sheer cliffs, deep fjords and wild islands
