ARE YOU READY for ATLANTIC?

The deep waters of the Atlantic invite you on a different kind of journey, where the wind dictates the route for each day at sea.
The north-easterly trade winds blow constantly in winter, and in a sailboat you'll feel the full energy of the ocean: strong winds that come up suddenly, long waves that keep the boat in constant motion, and anchorages that demand attention and experience.

Sailing in this area means adaptation, quick decisions and a good understanding of the conditions - it's not a classic tourist route, but the rewards are worth it: spectacular coastlines, clear water, dolphin and whale encounters, and that genuine sense of adventure.

The Atlantic can be challenging but also incredibly beautiful for those who are ready to explore it.

Sailing in the Atlantic Ocean

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS ROUTE?

  • steady winds, 15-20 kn, ideal for sailing
  • Atlantic sailing, with waves of 1.5-2.5 metres frequently
  • about 11 hours of daylight per day, enough for many nautical miles and light anchoring
  • wildlife ranging from pilot whales to bottlenose dolphins
  • papas arrugadas, mojo sauces, fresh fish, Tenerife wine and many other culinary specialities
  • clear waters with temperatures of 19-20°C
  • spectacular cliffs such as Los Gigantes (over 500 metres high)
  • not a relaxing and sunbathing cruise
  • it's not a luxury holiday - it's active sailing, with shared involvement and responsibilities
  • with no fixed route and guaranteed stops in marinas - we go with the wind and put safety first
